Enjoying the Local Bounty in Bali

July 31, 2013

Those who follow raw, vegan, and organic diets will find Bali, and Ubud in particular, to be a foodie paradise. There are many restaurants that specialize in organic and vegan foods. If you are looking for things to do in Bali, eating at one of the many restaurants that source local and organic produce is a great way to experience the local culture. Some of the local foods these restaurants serve are hard to find outside of Bali.

Our Bali luxury villa is just blocks away (or next door!) to several health food restaurants. Bali Buda is right next door to our Bali luxury villa – they bake their own bread each morning, and source most of their produce from local, organic farms. If you don’t feel like going out, they will deliver fresh and ecologically packaged meals to our Bali villa!

Next door to Bali Buda is the Kue Bakery and Café. The reviews on TripAdvisor will make you hungry to visit this sweet little bakery that offers coffee and baked treats until lunch time. Reviewers also have good things to say about the healthy, organic and vegetarian offerings at Juice Ja.

If you are looking for more of a meal, Down to Earth serves organic raw and vegetarian meals, and Soma offers a delicious selection of vegetarian treats, including raw desserts!
